Services
We may look to see if there may be a use for your computer as a complete unit unless your instructions prohibit this. If this has been approved to be sold we will then erase (using hippa compliant software) and format your hard drive from any operating system (windows98, Window ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista, ECT.), other software, and any personal data that may remain.
Not only is it important to recycle your computer, it is also important to recycle other electronics as well. Some electronics will contain some of the same hazardous metals and substances that are found in computers. Although some are not regulated as of yet it is very important to begin recycling now before it does becomes a problem in our landfills and regulation begin.
Another problem is the amount of metal that reach landfills. Enough steel is used in one day in the United State that you run a pipeline from New York to Los Angeles and then back to New York again, but we will only see about 60% of this being recycled. Can you imagine all the space this is taking in our landfills?

I've been going here for years. The workers aren't very personable but after uve been there once and know how they operate, they're actually very attentive, fast, and efficient. Good rates too and I usually get a lot more then I expected. Highly recommend

I would recommend calling ahead to make sure that they take the item that is going to be recycled if it's not listed. I also checked their hours and allowed plenty of time in case there was a line (no line when I got there but as I was leaving I noticed there were two vehicles waiting in line after me. I took in some metal (steel frames and steel signs) and they were able to recycle them.

I was looking for convenience and a quick easy way to drop off an item. Some places offer cash but with the cost of petroleum and inconvenience it was easier to drop off items here. Bruno helped me unload the car. He was very efficient and helpful. Overall, Action Recycling Center gave great customer service both over the phone and in person.

They ripped us off first of all there was a lady who was helping us i poored maybe 129lbs of brass and out of nowhere comes this guy and starts going through it saying oh this is metal this is aluminum and i check everything before I take it in and on top of that I had 31 lbs of bare bright copper that was never even recorded on our receipt. I didn't pay attention till I got home. I'll never go there again.

I understand you have to draw the line somewhere, but when the attendant watches you pull in, turn around because there's no other parking, Park, and then walk to the gate just as the clock ticks over to 4:00 (closing time on Saturdays) perhaps they should take into account that they watched you drive in. turn around. Park.and walk up to the gate, and allow you to make your transaction.

There also was a gentleman that was already parked had unloading his scrap and the attendant waited until it was 4:00 to turn him away. I imagine it was very frustrating for him. The moral to this story is arrived 15 minutes before closing or plan to be turned away. The margins at a recycling center must be very tight. Labor is very expensive, and having an employees spend 5 to 10 minutes over the closing time might make the transaction unprofitable.

I understand this. That is why, in my own business, I stagger start times so I have employees able to provide customer service to the last minute individuals without going into overtime. Food for thought Action Recycling Center

Hello there! So there's a few misconceptions about this place (Action Recycling Center) With COVID-19 being in place, their hours have changed like most other places, even big stores such as Walmart. Their hours Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30Pm & Sat 8-4Pm. Also when it comes to closing, like every other place, they ask for people to come 15 minutes before, so don't be that person who shows up last minute.

They do have a strict policy as well with masks (it's mandatory). They are pretty nice people too, when you see a person on the street with no mask (nowadays), the average person doesn't just go up and yell at them. They're only asking for us to be considerate, since they are in the heat (or cold) all day long while wearing masks. Plus! Aren't they the ones who are gathering, sorting, and picking up your materials?

That takes a toll on one's body, just saying Lastly, when it comes to how clean the place is, it can get dirty yes, but they really do try to keep on top of it Thanks Action Recycling for being open during this pandemic and wish all of you guys well! Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk (Also I've heard some rumors saying how the workers don't respond when us customers are trying to say something, generally because they have earplugs or hard of hearing with the loud blaring equipment constantly running)

Nice people and very helpful. I have dropped off several cast iron tubs and other scrap metal. They didn't pay for steel but they clearly stated that when I called ahead to ask. It would have cost me over $100 to take them to the dump so I consider it a win win. Prices constantly change, so call ahead and you won't be surprised
