This place is an absolute ripoff. I understand a local business can't compete with Amazon prices and I'm willing to pay a bit more to shop local. but $100 more for an AIO then other places? GTFO of here. This kind of pricing carries over to all their products and that's if they even have stock. Maybe if you attempted to be competitive instead of trying to swindle people you would have more then 1 car in your parking lot.

I've purchased products from SWS for years, they've always been knowledgeable within expectations and offered fair pricing. However my experience trying to get a receipt (from 10 months ago) for a 3080 graphics card I purchased which I needed to process an RMA was abysmal. When I called the store and asked if I could get a copy of my invoice I was told "no", not hey can we have more details like the date or sku or that I had to come in.
Just "no we can't give you a copy of your receipt" After opening a BBB case, SWS responded the SAME DAY with, you guess it, a copy of my receipt from the bank statements I had provided in the process. This poor customer experience has left a taste in my mouth I won't soon forget, and will actively warn others of.

I went to SWS because my son's gaming computer was acting up. Couldn't update, C drive repair error. Getting so close to Christmas I was worried the turnaround time would be lengthy. Fred was incredibly helpful. Not only was it convenient to get the computer checked in. The diagnostics and repair was lightning fast. The PC needed a new SSD drive, install, and cloning.
From start to finish, including all hardware and software updates was completed in 4 days. I was ecstatic at the ultra fast turnaround, not to mention extremely competitive pricing for parts. Fred kept me informed, and wasn't in too big a hurry to explain any questions I had. A big thanks to all the SWS staff. I will be back, and I highly recommend them for parts and repairs.

I bought a AIO CPU liquid Cooler from here. I initially tried to install it on my own, but the old CPU cooler's mounting brackets presented a challenge that I'd rather not tackle as a beginner. Took it here to have them install it for me. Needless to say, they did a fantastic job. Will definitely return for future purchases/computer services

My computer broke and the guy on the phone was very and helpful. He said that I could bring the computer in and they would take a look and attempt to repair it. I took the computer in to have them take a look and the employee I spoke to listened to the story and immediately dismissed it as a motherboard issue and refused to even diagnose the problem.
He kept coming up with a story about the bios not working with replacement t batteries, and refused to take a look at other possibilities while glaring at me. I am pretty tech savvy, and I have done my share of Computer troubleshooting g and repair. I know for a fact that the issue does not have to do with the bios because a cursory search online demonstrates that the issue is battery related.
I only give the extra star for the helpful guy on the phone. Otherwise, do not take your computer to be repaired here. They will treat you like an idiot, and maybe refuse to even try to diagnose the problem, if they do accept your computer they will assume that you know nothing and try to rip you off using jargon to confuse and intimidate you.

I took my (very) old laptop in. They did a thorough analysis and told me what all was wrong. I was a bit dismayed but they were so kind and informative and made replacing it easy. I'll take it back to them as needed. They really were magnificent. I'm one of the least technology informed person I know but the made my decision easy. Thank you!

First off.the rudest, most unwelcoming staff I have ever had the displeasure to meet. Second they had the worst stock and the store was disorganized and dirty. They are also crazy with their prices. 50 dollars to install Windows on a machine and a 200 install fee? you spend 2000k on components.it should not cost 200 for install. Buyer beware and shop on Amazon.

My GO TO local place for computer parts. They are one of the few Tucson places to have all the essential computer parts that I need without having to order or wait to arrive. They have fully custom computers, networking and technical assistance including installation services. SWS also carries accessories like mice, sd drives, keyboards, modems, joysticks, ups.
The essentials include power supplies, motherboards, cpu, ram, harddrives and more. They also have a lot of used parts and components at very reasonable prices. If you don't need new cables or parts then this is an awesome place to pick up parts.

These guys exceeded my expectations. I walked in and told the salesman what kind of gaming computer that I wanted and showed them the the specifications of the game that I wanted to play. I was given a timeline of when my build would be ready and it was ready early. The entire process was smooth, easy, and affordable! I couldn't be more happier!

Wow very disappointing and sad customer service I wish he gave me one reason not to yelp it's such a good store focused from A to Z to anything related to computer it's niche market segment where they sell for specific type of customer in a repetitive so it should be a high quality of serving their people because they would spend money. I drove 20 miles to go there buy 3 monitor screen and a holder that can carry them I was willing to spend at least 900 and he didn't even wanna help verbally and didn't want me to go in however every other customer went in normal and the way he communicate very disrespectful and unprofessional I'm an educated person I own 4 locations in town I didn't even argue with him because I'm never gonna argue someone like him but as owner pls take care of it I wanna be able to go there and fill my needs I'm opening a new business of sim racing in town at least 40 simulator and I think that place is a good place to be serving me the guy is a big white side with bear pls someone tell him something bexause I left so sad I'm not sure if it is racism I'm not gonna exaggerate but that's not right Dimo (707)2871929

This is a great place if you need any kind of repair. They are honest and helpful, letting you know if a repair is worth it, or of the cost is high enough that you should just get a new computer/laptop. When the screen on my Dell laptop stopped working properly, they did a quick check and told me that the whole back would need to be replaced, at a fairly high cost.
We agreed that at the age of the laptop, etc., it wasn't worth fixing. They did not try to sell me anything at their store. They even offered to help me (for free) if I had any trouble loading software onto my new laptop. My husband had a desktop built for him there several years ago, and he's been thrilled with it ever since, with no problems at all. We highly recommend SWS.

A huge store filled mostly with items for an old computer. Lots of recycled obscure stuff. Certainly there is a need for some of the merchandise that fills this tremendous shop. My son needed a part for a something or other. The young man helping him was so helpful and sure enough what my son bought for about 5 bucks worked. So on my feminine side there was nothing here I needed but certainly if one needs some obscure need, this might be paradise.

It's nice to talk to a computer place that is upfront about pricing, gives you options, and is patient and honest. We have gone in several times to get computers fixed, hard drives put in enclosures, and really old computers and printers recycled. Obscure cords? They likely have it. Parts? They can get it or have it. They have classes to build your own pc. Really glad we stopped in the first time.

I needed a new hard drive. The person told me I am not using a third of the terabit hard drive I had and suggested I get a smaller CHEAPER one. Who does that. I would not have known about a cheaper one. Told me it would be done in 4 to 6 business days. Next day it was ready. My second time going there in two years, still a good place IMHO

I'm going to try to make this brief, and not a "stab" or rude. However, I desire simply to share my experience, and other shoppers/visitors can take or leave this information. I have visited SWS many times over the last year or so, simply to see what a local PC hardware shop has to offer. I am a very tech savvy person, I build my own PC's and know exactly what I'm looking at, and looking for.
I visited with the full intention of buying products I need if they had them. There has only been one time in approximately 5-7 times I visited that anyone has spoken to me. As an example I went to the store yesterday 1/23/2019 and there wasn't a single other customer in the store when I arrived. No one said hello, hi, or can I help you find something.
Through my time browsing the store, still, no one said anything to me. I made eye contact with at least two of the store associates and the situation remained the same; no greeting, response, or offer of help. I proceeded through the gaming keyboards, the two sides/isles with computer cases, looked at the processors they have behind the glass cases - bearing in mind that I'm on the market for the i9-9900K - I looked around and still nothing from the staff.
I looked at the motherboards that are also displayed in the glass case, the graphics cards, all of which are VERY high priced items - again nothing from the staff. After about 15 minutes of browsing the store, and no communication from the staff I proceeded to leave - without surprise not even a "have a nice day, " "come again, " "good bye" - nothing. I will not be revisiting SWS because I've tried too many times without success to support this local business.

I purchased a laptop from SWS, knowing I was paying top dollar. However, I wanted them to transfer everything from my old Mac to a PC which I paid an additional hefty fee for. Within a week I had to take it back because certain letters on the keyboard didn't work. They did the whole process again with a supposedly new computer. A few months later the screen randomly goes black for a minute- not shutting down, just nothing on the screen. Took it back and was told I now have to go through Acer's warranty. IF they replace it (I know this is not going to be an easy task) I will lose all the data they have transferred twice and which I paid hundreds of dollars to be saved and transferred.
They sell horrible computers and are not helpful when you have issues with them. I will not be using them in the future. Best Buy has better customer support and that's saying a lot. Edit 1: In response to your response: no data was transferred for free. I paid a total of $365 for that service- two different charges. One charge for the computer and the other for the hard drive. I'm already dealing with Acer on the warranty myself.
I stand by the fact that you sell subpar computers. Never would I expect to have to go through 3 computers to get one that works. You already replaced it once due to a non-working keyboard button. Edit 2: please share your email with me. I would be happy to send you the multiple receipts I have of the transactions. I have most certainly expressed my opinions on Acer product quality with them as well as the public in general.

SWS had been highly recommended to me by two tech-savvy friends, including one who used to work on IBM mainframes. So when my current computer died and I decided to replace it, I went to SWS. This store may well be the best computer shop in Tucson, but the employees only "speak geek." They can't communicate with those who aren't as fluent in geek speak. I'm not saying don't patronize SWS, but if you are NOT very tech-savvy and need solid advice based on specific needs, this is not the place to go to purchase a system. (One employee didn't know what Word was. Kept telling me their system has its own wp program.
I explained my publisher insists on Word. I asked if their program could do tracking changes in the margin. He had no clue what I was talking about. So not only were we not on the same page, we weren't even in the same textbook.) One of my tech friends later said I probably should have gone to Best Buy or somewhere where the employees are accustomed to talking with "normal" people. So, again, not saying don't go there, just not a good place for people not very tech-savvy.

The staff was too busy chatting to help me. I knew exactly the card I needed. I found it on their website and it said they had 3 in stock. They recommended a part that was twice the price of the one I needed, even though their price list on their website said they had 3 in stock for the price I wanted. Told me to go look for the card I wanted on the other side of the store.
The one I wanted was behind the locked glass shelf part but there was no one to help me get it. Argh. I try and shop locally whenever I can, but I don't need to deal with the arrogance of the employees at SWS, so I'll be shopping on-line for my computer parts. I've been here a few times and always had a terrible experience, never again. shame

I came in four times in one day to have help fixing my computer. They never even asked me what kind of computer I have. They kept trying to sell me multiple parts that didn't work with my laptop. Evertime I came back to complain the salesman told me if he had asked me one more question he would have known not to sell me that particular part. EVERYTIME I CAME BACK he told me this.
When I spoke to management to voice my complaints with their service and return the useless parts, I was told by management "it's not the job of the people on the floor to know what parts you need." what kind of business are these people running? I thought they helped repair computers, but don't actually know anything about fixing computers?
I think best buy could have helped me more, which I will try next time I have an issue. So much for trying to support local. Also, they let me return some parts and refund the money to my credit card I paid with. And then all of the sudden they said they had to refund me in cash. I found this sketchy. I'm not sure what's going on with this place but I won't be back to find out!
