Summary: Very rude, not trustworthy service. Terrible experience. Waste of time & money. Guess what? How much would it cost to replace power supply from 5 year old computer, which was around $400 at that time? Wow, it's $80. It's not price of the latest Intel CPU, motherboard, or 1TB HDD. Yes, it's price of power supply. My computer wasn't able to boot, so I thought it's problem with motherboard or power supply.
I was thinking about fixing it if it costs under $50. This is because this is already old computer and it might have other problems even if I fix one issue. I went to the store and he also told me the problem might be motherboard or power supply. I did mention that I wouldn't fix it if repair cost is high. He could have just told that even fixing power supply costs $80 or it can cost $20 just for analysis. However, he didn't mention this even though I mention I won't fix it if this is going to be expensive.
I didn't even imagine that power supply can cost $80 when some of them sells at $20 or so online. I think he didn't mention it intentionally since he is going to make money no matter what. I noticed that many other places do free analysis for simple issues like this. My suggestion is to find better place nearby! Please note that the owner is very rude as well.

Getting your laptops/computers fixed here can be tricky. It's best you know the price of the computer parts you need beforehand. They offer you the highest price for labor & parts and it is your responsibility to negotiate. I brought my computer in few years back to get it fixed. They said it would $50 for a new power supply & labor. I agreed.
After almost a week, everything was in perfect condition. I gave them a 5-star review on Yelp. One year later, I wanted to upgrade my video card, and I found out that the power supply was the same one I installed before taking my computer there, (even with the same serial number). That was a scam but I forgave them. I had couple more issues with them which I won't state in detail.
Should I not forgave them for being a scam artist? No wonder why Art Computer stayed in business for so long, by ripping people off left and right. Sigh. The bottom line is, be sure to shop around and know how much your the parts are worth. They are not as trustworthy as a real business should be. If you do decide to bring your laptops and computers, be sure to ask for a small discount if you wish to pay in cash. I don't want anyone of you to get ripped off like I did, by being a good American.

Thai Tran owner of Art Computer Inc is one of the best computer repair persons that I know. His expertise on the repairs of computers is unsurpassed. He takes the time to explain the problem with your computer, then he sets out to fix the problem. His prices are so reasonable & I have trusted him to fix my computer problems for a number of years. He goes the extra step to research/and fix the problem.
If you are looking for a Computer repair location to fix your problems Art Computer Inc is the place to GO!. I also believe in patronizing our local/community businesses & his is one of the BEST! Keep up the good work!

I had a problem with my power jack on my ASUS N53S computer where it came loose such that I had difficulty charging. I brought in the computer to the store and stated my problem to the owner, who is extra friendly and very receptive to my needs. Definitely knows his trade well! Apparently, my problem was common so the owner promised that I would get the computer back in two days pending the order of a new power jack.
I received it back the next day - earlier than expected! Very fast, very efficient, very knowledgeable, and very friendly service. I highly recommend coming here for your computer-related needs!

I went there to get my PC fixed. Found that place on Yelp its really close to my work, Asian guy I don't remember his name was there and took it to fixed and told me that I can expect a phone call by the end of the day and probably with estimate of repair cost, but no one called me, so I called myself next day and asked him, he explained me I need new motherboard and Cpu, I was ok with that, estimate was 190-200$ which is really reasonable price I think, So it took longer then he said he would fix it, but overall I m really happy with the service, total time was 4 days to fix PC and reinstall my Windows, price is great, service is great, the only thing is low communication between client and their place.

I came here maybe 3 times when I was an IT manager needing a part quickly. He's friendly and totally knows what he's doing. Some of what he does may look kind of Mad Max to end users, but trust me on this, he's a good tech. He also likes QUALITY components and can explain why they're good, unlike the cr*p you get at Fry's with its matching expertise (pbbbt). He will take the time to make sure it's right.

My laptop was doing something really weird before I decided to go get it checked. At first it started flickering randomly, but it didn't bother me too much. Then, somehow, my monitor started to blank out on me with a white flickering screen. I went online to find a reliable laptop repair shop and found Art Computer, Inc. Conveniently, it was close to where I lived and after reading the reviews, I took my chances and gave it a try.
I was greeted by the owner, who was really nice and welcoming, and his cute chihuahua. I showed him what happened to my monitor and told me I needed my screen replaced. For a very reasonable price, compared to other places that charged me $200+, he was able to fix my screen within 24 hours. I came back to the shop and he gave me a few minutes to check the screen to see if everything is running smoothly.
After testing it out, moving the monitor, and pictures for quality, everything was working perfectly. My overall experience with the service is great and helpful. I've had the laptop for about a day or two and the screen is working like it should. However, I took away 2 stars because of how my screen is doing as of this moment. I don't know if it is my laptop or not, but there are brief random moments where the screen would have faint horizontal grey lines going up and down the screen and flickering as well.
I usually experience this when I am watching movies and sometimes when I'm just looking at files. I'm sure everyone who has wrote a review had great outcomes and I appreciated the work done on my laptop. Honestly, I just think it's my laptop which I purchased at a "college student's" budget. I guess it's just time for me to invest on a better quality laptop. thanks!

Signed up just so i can give you a review. For some odd reason my dad is more of a kid than me so he likes to play games. He wanted to find a local place that can offer some professionalism and some kind of warranty for their work. My dad went ahead and ordered the computer with Art Computer. He was extremely fast with building the computer. Took about a total of 3 days. When we went to pick it up he was super friendly and was fun to chat with. my dad loves this guy and so should you.

Art Computer is very knowledgable. Being a newbie to building PCs I upgraded my computer's RAM to 8GB using an inferior brand for memory. ART Computer quickly figured out what was wrong and informed me of the importance of using quality PC parts. They fixed my computer, installed a videocard, and replaced my RAM. Decent customer service too. The cost is my main issue with this place.
I bought higher end RAM from Art Computer, only to go home and find out that I could have saved a lot of money by buying it online. I feel like it hit my wallet harder than it initially did. Solid work overall. NOTE: After writing this review the owner tracked me down and offered to pay me the difference from the cheaper RAM I found online. The owner's a very nice person who takes pride in his business.
He explained to me how the prices on memory can fluctuate week-to-week and even showed me his vendor bill to assure me he was not trying to rip me off. The man's been doing this for over 20 years. Much respect.

So my cousin and I had laptops that need to be repaired. My cousin had a warranty through best buy, however, they were going to charge $99 to back up his files! So i took a look on yelp to see if another place could back it up. That's when I found Thai and I called to make an appointment, and he said bring it in right away. He has a small shop and he is very nice.
He told my cousin he can buy a 320MB hard drive for only $60 which was cheaper than best buy backing up his old one. And Thai installed it for free and told him once best buy gives you your computer back, come in and he will swap out hard drives to his original for free as well! This guy is great So after experiencing his great service, I bring my old laptop in that I thought was dead.
He told me if he can fix it, it would be $130, if he can't fix it, he wont charge anything. More than reasonable considering I called other places that were gonna charge anywhere from 300-400 to fix. So he called me a couple days later and there it was running great. If you need a computer fixed, do not hesitate to go Thai, he has been there over 24years doesn't seem like he is going anywhere :

The Art Computer has fixed a few computers now. It all started my computer is so slow so he installed graphic card. It runs much better then my kid's lap top is too hot and other's computer networking issue. He fixed them all. He is an honest man who will tell you the truth. Usually he can fix it right there. A few times I have to pick it up later. He knows his field and he is quick, and honest!

My co-worker has been raving about this place forever. well now I can too. My bosses computer died after a power outage yesterday and it has all the book keeping on it, now sure we back up, but we still needed a computer with the software. We took it down and he had it running in 20 minutes! Friendly, Fast, and reasonably priced. I'm a fan. Cheers

After talking with the big computer repair services, such as Best Buy, Fry's and Staples, I finally called ART Computer Inc, and talked with Thai. He took the time to try and diagnose, what may be wrong with my computer over the phone. The other's just gave me a price just to look at my computer. I received excellent customer service, at this place, as well as reasonable pricing. Computer is fixed, and actually runs better than before. No getting the run around here, this place is highly recommended!

I needed to repair my desktop so I checked Yelp for help. Once again I was steered in the right direction! Art Computer had such great reviews I thought I'd give them a try. Thai was great. He took a look, gave me a quote and I was home within an hour with a fixed tower. Now that's what I call customer service. I'm so glad I now know of a place to go if I ever have any problems, will definately recommend him, very nice guy.

I have been buying computers from Art since 1997. I cannot say enough good things about them. Agree with Susan R and Mr E. Thai has excellent customer service with very fast turnaround. Price is extremely reasonable. I used to buy parts from Fry's e.g., memory cards, network cards0 and install myself. Then I compared the prices with Art and realized that it is often cheaper to get it at Art, installed.

I go hear to get my computer repaired. Excellent customer service! I recommend if you have problems with your PC you take it to Thai. Excellent turn around time. Price is reasonable. I took my PC to best buy 2x and wasted my time and money. Geek squad didn't fix my problem. I took it to ART they fixed the problem right away. I'm sold on ART.

I go to this place all the time for computer parts and service. They have good prices and excellent customer service. They don't have the selection of big stores such as Fry's or best buys, but if you need anything they can order it for you and have it in there store within 24 hours. As far as prices go, they are cheaper than best buys, but a tad bit pricier than Fry's.
I hate Fry's and their returned re shelved items. I rather pay more than to ever go back into a Fry's (enough of my ranting). It's all about the customer service here!
