Shipped out 2 laptops for repair and they did an amazing job. I'm an IT person myself but I didn't have the time to repair the issues myself. They replaced the screen issues amazingly. The laptops I sent were old and they look almost new now. The parts used are new and before the work was done they called and told me what was needed and didn't over sell me anything. If I get anymore Dell laptops that need repair that I don't have the time to do it myself I'd be happy to send it back to them.

I purchased a brand new replacement battery for my Dell XPS. Slightly more than a year after installing it, my computer starting rejecting it saying that the battery wasn't a recognized device. Now my device crashes everytime I unplug the power cord. I called the Parts People and they were unwavering in their "Only one year warranty" and wanted to sell me a new one. Really?

A brand new battery that only lasts a year and they think I'm stupid enough to purchase from them again? This was not an issue of my battery expiring over time and suddenly no longer functioning. This was a sudden random glitch possibly due to a manufacture defect that they refused to be responsible for.

These people were fantastic for a much needed repair. They were friendly, thorough and most importantly quick to get us back online. My wife's laptop was slowing down. After speaking with Hank (their repair lead) on the phone, his first though on the symptoms was that the SATA hard drive might be failing. I sent the laptop in on Tuesday. By Wednesday he had diagnosed the problem (which he still felt was the hard drive).

After a phone call to confirm what he was doing, he went to work. He sent the laptop out Thursday evening and we received it on Friday. a) The laptop is blazing fast for startup and internet browsing (this is what my wife cares about) b) He turned the whole thing around in 3.5 days c) he even went the extra mile to turn the slow hard drive into a data store if we needed it and also copied the old hard drive to the new one (something other repair places would charge for). d) it was a good price for a well done job!

This is the second time I've used them with the same great results and one of the few times I felt compelled to write a review. They are that good. Everyone should know. PartsPeople know their products, have a great repair business model and met/exceeded my expectations in all cases. Hank was great to work with.

Very careless and lazy vibe from this companies employees. Every answer was no, with no followup to attempt assisting me. Employee hung up without even saying thank you, have a nice day, or even saying goodbye.

Dell Inspiron: Bubble liquid poured on the touch screen accidentally, screen was not turning on. Took my laptop to the store in Austin, fixed it in a day. Good and friendly service. :

Good prices on genuine OEM parts. Was surprised since most other companies seem to sell cheap knockoffs or charge way over msrp. Parts-People had very reasonable prices and even offered free shipping. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing good service.

I order a small part on 1-31-2022. (see picture) paid $3.95 + $5 shipping.as of today 1-9-2022 usps still shows awaiting item. really? Coming from Texas? Will not ever order from them again.

I had a great experience with Parts People yesterday! I brought my Dell laptop in to have a specific piece replaced. They had the piece in stock and were able to get the laptop repaired and back to me the same day. I couldn't ask for a better result than that! Thanks to Hank and the entire parts people team. I live just a few miles from their facility. Dropped my laptop off at 3PM to have the CPU fan and keyboard replaced, it was ready for pickup at 11 the next morning. Knowledgeable, professional and friendly service, very reasonable pricing, and super fast.

I had an issue with my DC Jack, my battery issue, and a WiFi problem on my laptop. I received expert advice from Hank which I found to be solid. I've purchased the required parts. Parts-People restored my Dell Precision laptop, after I had somehow mucked things up trying to install a second SSD card. I could not even boot to Windows and could not figure out what to do. A call to Part-People resulted in my bringing the laptop to their store in Austin. Mike then fixed it and I was able to pick up the laptop the next day. Mike is a miracle worker, although he said with 20 years experience, he simply knew what to do.

They provided top quality service in quick time. Mike answered questions I had, and the fix was done for a reasonable price. They will be my goto shop for Dell parts and service. They also serve people who send in their PCs to fix.

I drove from SW Austin because Parts-People had a hard to find Dell keyboard in stock. I brought it in about 4pm and it was ready by lunch the next day. Cost for the part and labor was extremely competitive.

Just moved here from California and had a hard time finding someone to fix my pc.found out it was a fake Dell so they couldn't fix it but gave me a good lead nearby and GAVE me the parts I needed. Now that's service!

This was the first time I had ever sent anything off to get repaired and the customer service, the details of what needed to be fixed, the honesty of what should be repaired, but could get by without it. Absolutely incredible! Especially the gentleman in the repair department I think his name was Michael. Just absolute top notch all around!

I have had three Dell laptops serviced in the last few months.their service is always outstanding. Very reasonable prices, quick turn-around times and professional/friendly staff make for a great place to service a Dell laptop. Feels more like a computer junk yard that ship whatever is lying around without any QA. Ordered components to build lcd display assembly, but what I received was not even buildable as individual components missing internal screws or ribbon connector latches (bezel). Can't tell brand new items are really new when they are missing pieces on arrival. Feels refurb being marked up as new.

Customer service is slow to respond. Online tutorials reference supposedly needed items to purchase, but actually include those that are completely unnecessary (i.e. WWAN card?).

I spilled my coffee on my Dell laptop and was devastated that I had just destroyed my lifeline that I run my business off of. After calling a few places I happened to land on Parts-People. The technician that serviced my computer was extremely understanding of the urgency of my situation and beyond competent. He had my laptop repaired with only one minor part replaced and fully cleaned to the point that not a hint of coffee smell remained.

My Dell laptop had a strange error message about power, so I called my usual "discount" computer repair shop. They had a wait time of two weeks, so I found Parts People. I went in yesterday evening, and it was inspected and worked on right away. It seemed it was an issue they'd hadn't seen before, but the guy who took care of it was very knowledgeable and took less than 15 minutes to find and resolve the problem. I'm ditching the other repair place and coming here from now on.

I Google and came across PartsPeople after I received a quote from Dell.com that the parts I needed would cost me nearly $300. So I decided to order 2 replacement adaptors-one for my Dell laptop and desktop from PARTSPeople. My order arrived verily quickly and now both my laptop and INSPIRION One 2305 work again. This company $aved me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND inquiring with them for your Dell parts/accessories.they do have a 1-Yr product warranty and 30-day return or exchange as well. I have two dells. I've had the chance to send in the one to them for a repair and always have had a really good experience. Although I do understand I'm not the only laptop that there servicing. They usually have a long wait time for them to look at it. I will mail in my device in the future if the need arises. I am in NY. You can trust them, they stand behind there work and have a good work ethic.

Negative review retracted. A representative is working at the moment to fix the issues I had with the service and I will amend this review as necessary. Learn from my mistake and make sure every dollar you spend on service is accounted for. Original order placed on 7/7/11 and it is 9/11/11 as of last update. Final update: I was never given cost receipts for parts as promised.

No need to promise them if you can't delivery. The keyboard was finally replaced after I was charged the full price to refurbish my Alienware, but due to in stock part incompatibility with pre-Dell Alienwares it had to be ordered. Well don't say you will replace the keyboard and charge me for it if you aren't going to fix it. Had to complain, eventually after hassle received all the upgrades detailed in the plan I purchased. This was about ten years ago, I am just now finishing the review because it has been incompleted all of this time, but I remember this experience like it was yesterday!

I think I've never written a Yelp review before? - but I had to in this case. So stop fretting over how to get your Dell laptop fixed - the answer is right in front of you: go see Mike!

Long story short: I contacted the company and asked specifically if they could replace a cracked touch screen and that I had a replacement touch screen. They replied that they could and it would cost $50. I sent the laptop to them (FedEx wasn't cheap) and they called to tell me that they couldn't replace the screen and a new display (screen and backing) would cost $299.

I had them send it back since the laptop (and the touch screen feature) is not worth that amount of money. I wrote and told them of my disappointment with them and they did apologize. So be careful with what they might tell you before they receive your system for repair. The sales reps apparently don't understand what is involved with the repair and the company doesn't try to make things "right" with the customer.

I did check online later to see what a new complete screen assembly would cost - found one, brand new from a reputable seller for $199. So it looks like the company is also adding to the profit line with the parts.

This place SAVED my life! My laptop wasn't turning on or responding and after spending hours trying to figure it out with dell support i gave up & brought it here. The service tech, Mike, was beyond helpful in getting my Dell Latitude fixed & working as soon as possible! Highly recommend this place! They were quick and super friendly!

This is a fantastic company. All of my interactions with the staff have been above and beyond my expectations. The repair was perfect. Five stars. My Dell laptop's power button stopped working, so I ordered a replacement back cover/power button combo from Parts People (PP) to replace it myself. I used their super helpful online videos but could not get certain wires connecting correctly.

I called and spoke to Mike about my issue and he made some suggestions, and so polite and friendly. Unfortunately I still couldn't repair the power button myself, so I decided to ship my beloved laptop across the country to be repaired by the PP. The shipping box arrived quickly, and my laptop was repaired quickly, too! Probably in three or four days. Mike called me when the repairs were finished and let me know that the part I had purchased from them turned out to be non functioning so they replaced it and installed it for me and didn't charge me for a new part.

My laptop was returned to me probably a week after the repairs were done. First, and most importantly, my laptop could turn on when it was returned to me! Secondly, it had trouble booting Windows and couldn't detect the hard drive. I checked the hard drive and sure enough, it hadn't been screwed back in after the repairs were done. I had an extra screw that happened to fit and connected the hard drive in enough to get Windows booting!

I called PP and spoke to Michael about my slight concern about the missing screws and he very sincerely apologized and said they would be shipping me the screws to get my hard drive reconnected. Thank you so much Mike, Michael, and Parts People!

I've known the owners & family since they played with toy computers & baby guitars :) Always personable, motivated to be & do their best, & honest (honest!) in all they do! You can't find a better place in Austin to have your computer serviced plus they're open on Saturday. As previously mentioned, Mike, ( one of the techs), is absolutely brilliant & has saved many of my computers from what I believed to be certain death. I won't go anywhere else! :)
