Called 11/27 to drop my PC because my computer wasn't working and my motherboard was blinking red. Tech said to drop it off, I thought "okay cool they close in an hour but he's letting me drop it off, I appreciate that." A few days pass and I don't hear from them so I figured I'd call to check in. A different tech answers the phone and tells me the regular tech is out of town until Friday and he was supposed to call and let me know.

I asked why I never received the call and the stand in tech said "Well I just figured you would call." At this point it was clear this wasn't the shop for me so I told him I would like to pick up my PC and be on my way, to which he said I wouldn't be able to do until at least tomorrow (this call was at about 4 pm, and they close at 6pm) At about 6:15 that night he called me again to apologize for failing to do his job and I just asked to be able to get my computer, he said something super ambiguous and got off the phone.

I never received another call from them saying my computer was ready to be picked up or that it was fixed. I called this morning (12/30) and asked why I haven't received any information, to which they said "well we were waiting to see what you wanted to do, but it seems like your motherboard is messed up." TL;DR dropped my PC for a repair, was disrespected by staff and then told multiple times that the onus was on me to get my computer repaired. I wish I could say it's the worst customer service I've ever dealt with but I had comcast before, but it's not far behind. Go literally anywhere else.

Wife tossed me my phone across the couch and cracked my MacBook Pro. Went to these guys next day. $650 cash paid in full prior to even having the screen repaired and being able to see that the repair was right. Told me a time for parts to arrive and how long after that it'd take to be repaired. I was fine w the info given. A week later the part still hadn't arrived.

I run a business from my laptop and made a decision based on the info given to me by the staff here. Well the parts took a few extra days. Understandable. My issue is with the customer service. Me personally, if someone gave me almost $1k with no hassle, no asking why so much, etc, then i would keep them up to date if the timeframe changes. That's just me though.

I will admit that when began to get upset w the time, they attempted to correct the issue by letting me pickup my laptop and an external screen so that i could still work. That gesture was for sure appreciated, but the sour taste in my mouth is from the lack of communication. My only advice; get better on communicating with customers, because word of mouth advertising is your best resource, and I'm sure you want THE BEST words being spoken about your establishment.

I appreciate the repair, just wish the communication coulda been better for what I paid, upfront prior to any work being done. I'd recommend their services, I would just caution that you are verbal about your expectations when doing business with them, because they wouldn't hold back from making their expectations known. Oh and the lady that works there seems like she's got an attitude problem, but that's just my opinion.

Great service. The hard drive on my laptop died and I needed to replace it. I was able to get 3 out of the 4 screws holding the hard drive out by myself, but the last screw was too badly stripped for me to remove myself. I took the laptop to these guys, and they removed the bad screw and replaced the bad drive with the new one for me (I provided the new drive). Very fast and great service

I never knew about this repair place until yesterday when I saw the Apple logo on the door. And coincidentally, my phone went craaazy hours later. Which better place to take it for a repair than a certified repairer. I got all my data recovered & phone repaired same day & all questions answered. Affordable price & very good service. They did a great job. Quick + honest. Apple repair wanted $130 to replace the battery. However Austin Mac repair ran the diagnostic and discovered it was only the charger that needed to be replaced. Thank you!

My experience here was excellent. I had gotten malware on my laptop and I brought it in about 4pm. They were closing at 6 and said it would be ready the next day. They called me at 5:15 the same day and it was ready to pick up! Not only was it working great again, but I had been having trouble getting the power cord to make a good connection and had mentioned to them I might want to buy a new cord. Instead, they had found a tiny tiny bit of metal that had gotten lodged in the connection site and removed it (for free!) and now my cord was connecting perfectly! Great experience!

I received exceptional service on my 2008 iMac 24 Apple computer. All data on my frozen hard drive was recovered. In the end, I came away with a solid state hard drive having twice the capacity of the one that went belly up. My operating system was upgraded. Rocky ( outstanding technician) walked me through the system. Very pleased at performance and price.

I took my Macbook to this business on 2/5/2021 and they were able to fix my issue that I couldn't get solved even with Apple support. Apple support basically said to get a new laptop. Austin Mac Repair fixed my issue within the same day. I highly suggest this place and their staff are friendly. Prices seemed fair.

I've Never seen a place make up their Own taxes. jose dud not like that I called them out on their BS. Didn't check the laptop at the Beginning to see if it was touchscreen so we started off having to double back and go there to retrieve it since the date they quoted was not right. Had to pay $125 AS THAT BOY QUOTED ME $250 TO SECURE THE REPAIR.Go to pay and another employee was ride about the debit transaction not going thru.

I UNLOCKED OUR CARD and proceeded with the transaction. Part finally comes in(we're 2 weeks in now) and it's Wrong. Had to go Back and pick y the laptop so I can Work! They called Both times the day Before slow jose advised it would be there so I had no time to plan being late to work all the times they made me late. Didn't want to repair it at 4:30 when I got off.

So I had to be late Again this am to work. Now, since this boy jose does not like me he charged OVER THE AMOUNT QUOTED WITH NO RECEIPT. This very short idiot told me $250. Where in hell are taxes $20? So. No. This place is not doing good business, they pick and choose when they're offering good customer service(I don't think ever) and that office stinks like whatever they had for lunch. $270 we paid. No receipt. I will make sure ppl know that this location bites. Mfkrs think because there's a pandemic they can go rogue. jose you are Horrible for that.

We took our Lenovo to them, even though they are a Mac repair location they were more than willing to look at it and diagnose the issue. They told us we needed to replace the hard drive. Had it back within a day or two and my computer is running like brand new! Very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend

Had a serious issue after updating macOS to Big Sur. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue and offer options for repair within 24 hour. Extremely professional and fast in their service and I'm elated that I was able to get my laptop repaired and running better than before. These guys rock! I drove all the way from New Braunfels to have my computer fixed here. Jose was very forthcoming about price expectations and exactly what he was going to do to make my computer run more efficiently. I had my laptop back in less than 24 hours. Super fast! I was afraid that I'd lost my life's work when my old HD crashed. After calling several data repair companies that seemed to lack any skill, concern, or compassion, I called these guys on a whim. Not only were they 1/2 the price of all the others, but they took a same day appointment, fixed my issue in under 4 days, and were extremely kind/caring. I highly recommend them for data recovery and computer repair.

Wow. I should have read these reviews before calling them. They claim they are "certified" Apple repair specialist. I call in to see about getting a Network card installed on an older Mac Pro tower. I am not a certified repair guy, but did install the upgraded Xeon hexacore processor, 32 gigs ram and ATI 8 Gig video card, as well as the 1 terabyte SSD hard drive.

The young lady who answer the phone put me on hold a few minutes. I was picked up by Jose. Jose acted like he did not know what I was talking about. I described where it was located and how to install it. He pauses for a few and then says, "No. We do not work on those." Why are you saying you are a "Mac Repair" facility when you will not work on Mac Pros? I did not want to argue with him. Disappointed, I hung up. I would not bring any computer to this guy. No wonder his reviews are so bad. Hard pass.

Some of the reviews on here seem more to be about people that are spoiled with retail pricing. What I mean is; if you want to spend top dollar for new equipment, go do that. Don't expect a repair shop to give you NEW retail products at a discount just because it's local. I had my Mac diagnosed and they helped me two straight days in a row and even gave me a deal on a new computer.

Please don't pick on small local businesses. Is any business perfect? No. And, if you're any type of intelligent person you'd know that the bigger the business the less they have to lose if you leave a review with a bad attitude. But when you do that to small local business, you can kill it. Try to help them improve, not slander. I recommend them. They are easy to work with and will shoot you straight.

I needed help with my MacBook, when I entered store I said hi nobody greeted me instead a black woman came said bunch of stupid and rude things to me, she did not want to help me at all. I felt offended and discriminated by this trashy and stupid behavior. I will contact business bureau.

Within 6 hours I obtained a complete fix of my water damaged MacBook Air. I was thinking the MacBook was not salvageable, however Austin MAC Repair was able to clean and replace some parts to bring my MAC back to life. Very fast and efficient service. Happy I called them to take care of my MAC.

Beware. I called these guys to get an OEM Macbook Pro charger. They charged me $50 for a 3rd party faked charger ($20 on Amazon). When I wrote an email to complain, Jim got mad and told me how he had owned the business for 20 years and I shouldn't have cussed at him. This is after the fact that I paid $15 more for a replacement because they told me I "requested a 3rd party charger" on my original call.

That replacement (supposed to be OEM) was literally from the same fake apple charger shipment. Pics below to prove it. I already own two 3rd party chargers, and the whole reason for my call was to get an OEM Apple charger. When I called Jim out via email, he didn't respond. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will sell you cheap 3rd party clone products and try to pass them off as real. They should be reported to the BBB.

Low rating not a surprise! Just called and(I don't want this to come off the wrong way) spoke to an older gentleman. I asked if they did old iPod repairs. He said that they did but the Mac tech handles all of those. Ok, good. I the told him that I should talk to him and see if the issue I was having was something he could diagnose. The guys reply was(see snide remark above), "I don't want this to come off the wrong way, but we're not in the business of free advice, and you would need to bring it in for him to look at".

My reply: " well y'all must have plenty of business then". He said yep and hung up. Not getting my business EVER, buddy. What a poor practice. I'm sure he's the owner so nothing will come of this but I hope people see this and shop elsewhere with someone who deserves the money.

I was in a total panic when I woke up to a black screen that would not activate. I thought I may have lost everything. I went on line and saw good reviews for Austin MAC repair and called and they were great from the get go. I ended up getting lost and Jim guided me there and was waiting outside to flag me down. It turned out to be a video card problem and this desk topic was old and I was in the market for a new one. Jose diagnosed the problem and called me quickly.

He assured me that my hard drive was in tact and was a really good one. So he transferred all of my data to an external drive and saved the day for me. I did not lose anything. I picked up the drive the next morning and all is well. The personal service and fair pricing made this a very positive experience on every level. I highly recommend Austin Mac Repair.

Misleading business. Made me bring my Mac in for a price and gave me another price when I arrived. Charged a fee to do the diagnostic and never mentioned that there are charges. Unreliable and dishonest!

A big round of applause for Brandon and Mike! My daughter lost 8000 photos from her iCloud due to erroneously deleting them from her phone. From the first phone call with Mike, who took 15 minutes to listen to me and explain what may or may not be recoverable, to Brandon who made it happen, we just couldn't be more pleased. They were very honest in saying that they weren't sure they'd recover anything but they pulled out all the stops until they found a solution. We told them we needed it by a certain time because my daughter was heading back to school and they got it done. They've got our Mac business from now on!

My 8 year Mac had the black screen of death over the weekend. I took it in Monday right after they opened; they called me back before noon explained the problem and resolution. I was able to get it back Thursday morning; I could have got it Wednesday but I worked that day. The price was reasonable. They also took my backup drive and loaded it. When I came in to pick up they booted up the computer and went over everything with me ensuring every thing was in working order. Very pleased with the results; hope to have it another few years. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I sent in my macbook for a battery replacement and they completely mangled the exterior of my laptop. It's very clear that as they were prying open the outer case of the laptop, they lost control of the screwdriver and it 1) bent the laptop metal and 2) tore off a chunk of the corner. They then lied to me saying this was actually how they "fixed" it even though I had proof there was no cosmetic damage to the laptop. Pay the extra $$ for Apple to do your repairs. It's just not worth the risk.

Turn around time was an hour. Cost was around $160 for a totally destroyed screen and bent up frame on an ipad 4. Picked it up and the ipad looks brand new. Good customer service! I'll be back.
