Seidel did excellent, thorough diagnostic work on my 2017 iMac, patiently answered all my questions, and discussed different options with me. I recommend him and his great team at Renew Computers without hesitation. Honest, knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy, and so reasonable, especially for the notably high quality of the work.

My computer was not charging, even though plugged in. After several attempts at customer service with Dell and failing, I remember Renew. I took the computer in and was told someone would contact within day or so. As promised the person called and told the adaptor may have worn out and he would ordering a part and I should the computer by November 24th. Sure enough, on November 24th the computer was ready and cost of the repair was reasonable. I highly recommend Renew Computers to my friends. Great Job.

These guys techs are the best. I had a minor issue with my laptop running slow, especially considering it's not even a year old. Renew did a quick counter diagnosis and corrected a few things, primarily unused/needed Chrome extensions. He also gave me a few tips and and disk maintenance sites. It's now running fine. I tried to pay them for this but they said no need to. I'll definitely be back the next time I need PC repairs. They also have a nice selection of used PCs and Apples.

I have a couple teenagers and they are tough on their computers. Their laptops often get bogged down with internet acquired junk. Renew Computer guys are honest, professional and friendly. My daughter's MacBook completely shut down and these guys were able to reboot it and clean out internet surfing badness for only $60. Last visit was my 3rd. They also have renewed computers for sale at budget prices. Highly recommend for computer repair.

I bought a refurbished laptop for an excellent price, and it got me through college. They take all kinds of e-waste with a friendly smile. I recommend this place to everyone!

Helpful, knowledgeable personnel. I endeavor to purchase used whenever possible. Renew Computers should be a first stop when replacing equipment. Even if Renew does not have what you need, they will point you in the right direction.

Best recycling experience. Couldn't be easier. handed over the electronics for recycling. including cords and old Christmas lights. Handed the guy $5 to recycle the microwave, received a receipt for that tiny fee, and left. We had told our neighbors we were going so were able to collect a trunk- load of small appliances. The location is easy to reach with a parking lot. no messing with a dirty dump or inconvenient hours or systems. During Covid folks were just unpacking their trunks and being waved on. super easy.

This is my fave place to go to when I need all kinds of computer items are other elecktronicks Knick knacks. Also they have a fantastic selection of legacy computer parts as well as things that are useful in terms of contemporary like tronic items. This little place is a gold mine!

I am sure that there are many knowledgeable, competent computer repair technicians in Marin County. I don't expect to meet them, however. Other than dropping off e-waste for recycling, this is the 2nd time I have used them for a critical task. Again, they delivered with competence, speed and courtesy. Al did great work and has been a delight to work with on a challenging problem. Kudos! I highly recommend them.

Someone broke into my computer. It was awful and felt like such an invasion. Saidel worked on my computer and he did such a great job. He had also recently worked on my laptop and made it like brand new! I took my big one over to Renew computer and they installed "Norton" which is a free down load from Comcast and Saidel worked on this one too. He took a program off that the culprits were able to sneak into my computer and now I feel safe. Renew computer is definitely the best place to go here in Marin! Each time the charge was only $90.00. Very reasonable for peace of mind and good working computers!

I called Chris over at Renew. We spoke and he said he would take a look at my compter but that it usually takes a day or 2 to trouble shoot. Well he looked up the model number did a reset and sent me on my way. HIGHLY recommend this place. Great customer service, Friendly, competent!

The customer service is exceptional. They have serviced my computers and have advised when a computer is worth the cost to repair versus purchasing a new one. They have assisted me with many many silly questions of mine, have never made me feel inadequate (dumb) for not knowing all the language associated with computer world. Renew Computers is over 30 years old I think, which goes to show a lot about their forward thinking approach to managing e-waste. The are pretty much the largest electronics and computer recycling company in Marin County, CA at least the biggest independent recycler that's for sure. They are located in downtown San Rafael where old PC, laptops and electronics are collected and properly recycled. They are also a qualify Microsoft Registered Refurbisher and they also offer repair and refurbishment services.

Excellent team with superb customer service. They've got great deals on older cables and adapters. Occasionally you can find some great finds on legacy video equipment as well.

This place is a recycler's dream and s San Rafael treasure. Just simply FANTASTIC! Backed up my car to a small loading area. Someone appeared with a cart. I had a mix of audio electronics, old cords, a dead dust buster and a dead printer. They accepted everything and I paid $5 to leave the printer. I was amazed at the ease, convenience and friendliness. Now I understand why there are so many 5 Star reviews. Gets my vote for Best Bay Area Tech/ Electronics recycling. I'm telling everyone. As a longterm customer (think back to the days when they were located on Andersen Drive), I rely on Renew Computers for almost everything electronic-related. This employee-owned company is customer-centric. I find them to be knowledgeable and helpful, and they treat this senior citizen with respect. They even stayed open late for me one evening. I have recommended Renew Computers to friends and colleagues, and will continue to do so.

I'm helping a family member with a hoarding situation and they have a couple of computers they are afraid to part with. Renew was able to download the hard drive onto a flash drive for me from an old Dell desktop! And then took the old computer off of my hands. All in one service. I received a rebuilt computer from Renew and it is very efficient. As a senior citizen, I really appreciate everything that was already on my desktop and it came with Windows Office installed. All I had to do was open it up and turn it on. Thank you, EVERYONE at Renew!

Good service and a nice selection of commonly used computer parts for cheap. A great money saver if you need to pick up a piece and don't need it to be in retail packaging. Still works exactly the same or they'll refund your purchase.
