BOTTOM LINE: I'm going to level with you. Even though this place isn't Fry's Electronics the fact that they are still here after well over 15 years is really amazing. Much cheaper with service (computer repairs) and much nicer people.

I took my desktop in that I purchased from them 3 years because I was having problems with the Blue Screen of Death. They charged me for a complete scan for viruses, hardware & software issues, & computer optimization without fixing the problem. The next day when I picked up the computer I was still have the same problem, I took it back to them and they still could not fix the problem.

I'm still having the same issues to this day and when I call them (the technician's name is Ghandi) about fixing the problem they've shown a reluctance to look into the problem further and seem content to dump the problem in my lap instead. I'm extremely disappointed with their service here and they don't seem to be very competent when it comes to troubleshooting.

I recommend taking your computer purchases and computer repair issues elsewhere so that you can get qualified technicians to fix your issue instead of just giving you the runaround.

I have taken my daughter's laptop there twice, and they did a great job fixing complicated problems. I took in my computer that had crashed and burned due to Windows 10 updating during startup. They know what they're doing. They're also in the process of remodelng their store, so it will be nice when they are done.

XM COMPUTERS has been around for years. They do really good work.unfortunately they can also be very slow sometimes. Just keep in mid though, that they are very good. They seem to have very few actually parts on hand and tend to have some difficulty getting parts in a timely matter. They is always a story. In the end what I needed got done and I was happy with the results

Dependable and reliable. Excellent service. Have used them for years. Had PCs that wouldn't boot up, had data loss problems and have also bought refurbished PCs from them. My latest problem (2016) concerned corrupted videos. They came up with an acceptable solution for me. Can't speak for others, only know I have never had problems with what they have charged me or with the work they have done for me.

Really very good experience. very helpful. I had trouble with my lenovo x1 carbon laptop. Had tried calling others. These people really took personal interest. Tried different options etc. Personal attention.

Very flaky place there was two other customers complaining whole I was there to pick up my computer, they never fixed it. They just said something else was wrong with my computer. For more money of course. Best piece of advice find another place.

I needed a charger for my Sony laptop urgently. This place is located right next to Fry's Electronics, so I decided to check them out first. Walked in, and waited to get some attention. After I told them what I needed, they dug out a cheap made-in-china copy of the charger, but wanted me to pay $49.99 for it. (Those chargers sell on eBay/Amazon for $9 with shipping).

When I asked the manager about the reason for the price being higher than an original Sony charger, he got noticeably angry, and shouted at me!. I was shocked! He said "Where!? Where can you get a Sony charger? Online!?" he then smirked and looked at another customer for approval (he didn't get any). He then ignored me as I stood there, and i finally walked out. I will never go to this place even if they are the last place on the planet.

Mommy said, "don't judge a book by it's cover, " and this is a classic example. man, this place is a mess. dusty, computers stacked everywhere--the store looks like an unorganized computers-only pawn shop. i almost walked out right after walking in, but out of desperation, decided to give it a try. i needed a new battery for my HP laptop, which i'd been told by a tech at GeekSquad was going to be nearly impossible to find. the manager at XM thought he had one in stock (with all that stuff everywhere, i would not have been surprised if he had it, but just couldn't get his hands on it!), but ended up ordering one for me and said i could pick it up Wednesday or maybe thursday at the latest. i walked out $75 lighter and promptly forgot all about the battery. the manager called me on Thursday to say the battery was still not there, and wasn't showing for delivery on Friday either: he was concerned. What? customer service without me even having to ASK?! whaah? i thanked him and said not to worry about it, that i appreciated his attention to it and to just give me a call when it got there. Saturday, my phone rang again: the manager told me he was very disappointed with HP in this matter and felt that he was getting the run around from them. he suggested i come in and get my money back--he also offered to help me find a battery online and i could order it directly. WHAT?! money back? help me order directly? did i slip into the twilight zone (the place probably has some dust from the sixties in there.) in the end, i did not get my battery but i did get a lesson in giving a place a chance, even when it looks like a dump. Kudos to you XM. here's your yelp.
