I've been working with Polywell as their reseller since 1993. My personal perception is that the company is very good. They always supported their partners and offered good prices. I do not deny that others may have had negative experience with them - I'm just describing my own experience. Their President (Mr. Chu) is one of the most knowledgeable persons in computer industry I've ever met.

Avoid polywell and minix like the plague. I ordered 2 different minix boxes that couldn't maintain a steady internet connection. Had the audacity to tell me my router needed special software to work with Android devices. Just think about how stupid that sounds. I then traded the minix devices, at a loss, for PC equipment that I specifically asked for and was assured supports legacy boot for a kiosk version of Linux we use.
Guess what these idiots sent me? Equipment that doesn't support legacy boot! When I told them they screwed up a 3rd time they stopped responding. This is all 100% fact and I have the emails to prove it. Feel free to contact me if you want to see their level of incompetence before doing business with them.

I have done business with Polywell for about five years now and we trust them to build and support some of our most critical systems. We have had incredible success with their equipment over that time. I tried working with Dell and HP to get a standards-based rack-mounted PC (NOT a server, a PC) for use in high tech classroom lecterns and couldn't even get their attention.
We worked with Polywell to develop a rack-mounted PC and then they, on our behalf, worked with Panopto to certify it for use with their lecture capture software. The end result not only saved us tens of thousands of dollars, it also saved us space in the rack and the hassles of multiple systems. I love these guys. Raul, our rep is awesome!

They are saying "PCMag Editors' Choice ", but you should not believe that. Their quality is not good and their Customer Service or Tech-Support is really bad. Over 30 emails and one lucky call (It was really hard to talk to one of their staff, they are not responding) were not enough to take care my PC and my concern.

Powerful custom built computers, but lacking in many other areas. They require that you to fill out a pdf form or word document to order a computer. This is bizarre for a tech company in this day and age. But most painful and atrocious was their customer service. Language barriers and communication issues made it difficult to just order a simple replacement part.
