The PC Place II, Inc. has been helping people with their technological needs since 1993. Enthusiastic to join the computer revolution in the 90's, we were one of the first computer retail and repair store to locate in the Albuquerque area. We are proud to say we have served multiple generations of computer users and look forward to more.

I am a Veteran who got a HP ProBook from The PC Place II. Steven told me if it ever had a problem just give him a call. Well a year later my computer had an issue because of something I did and it wouldn't turn on. I'm in the middle of nursing school and was completely freaked out. I called Steven and he fixed it over the phone in less than 5 minutes. These guys are Awesome!

Before you replace your PC because some other computer repair store told you your PC can't be fixed don't believe them. It can be fixed at PC Place. I speak from experience. About two years ago I took my laptop to PC Place. A couple of days later it was fixed and upgraded with virus protection. They will tell you upfront what the problem is and how much it's going to cost. They don't try to talk you into adding things you don't need. In the two years since my laptop was repaired at PC Place I have not had one spec of trouble.

So far my experience has only been a phone conversation with Charles AND it is for that reason alone that I have given 5 stars. He communicates well. He listens to you even though you may not be at the level of his expertise. After all, that is why you called him. Right? So right now my gut says that I will be actually doing business with PC Place II.
Then I will add to this review and/or revise it accordingly. Charles, keep up the excellent customer service. You never know what a few minutes of quality conversation may bring you, and I can see that it is your philosophy by how well you treated me on the phone just now.

I had a problem with my computer and didn't know what the problem was so I called PC Place and they said they would take a look at it and have it back to me in 48 hours. they ended up telling me it was a graphics card issue so they helped me through this and they have GREAT service and even went the extra mile and gave me one of their graphics cards while the other one was getting fixed and we ended up doing a business trade. I would definitely recommend these guys, they know what they're doing, and they have phenomenal service.

PC Place is your One Stop Computer Shop - a company that stands behind their name! My computer went into "POWER SAVE" mode after mistakenly unplugging power source without battery connected to my Lenovo ThinkPad. Black Screen. Called PC Place, and Stephen walked me through a couple of steps to try to get it to startup. Laptop would not startup. I dropped off laptop at PC Place. Stephen discussed the options to get my laptop working.
PC Place worked on it, and got it running! I ended up getting new antivirus software, and Windows Update. Stephen and PC Place offers superior service and results and great prices! I highly recommend contacting PC Place for all your computer and gaming computer needs!

When my laptop wouldn't boot up after a Microsoft update, I began researching computer repair places. I'm new to the Q and needed to find someplace reputable. The PC Place showed up with high marks on Yelp and several other searches. I took my poor little Acer in and explained the problem. They seemed to know just what to do and explained their action plan as well as the costs thoroughly before I left.
Being a Friday, they couldn't promise anything until the next week since they aren't open Saturdays or Sundays. Low and behold I got a call just a couple of hours later to tell me what they'd found. Again, they thoroughly explained my options and I decided to have them to replace my hard drive. They said they'd do everything they could to recover my data.
Fast forward to Monday morning: sadly, they were unable to retrieve my data but told me they could send it out to a place that could.for a steep price. After deciding it wasn't worth it, they had my computer good to go just a few hours later. They even installed a link on my desktop so I can have them diagnose/ install remotely in the future! Because of their good service, PC Place gained a customer for life.

So glad I found this place! Everyone, both on the phone and in the shop, was eager to help. Without exception they were knowledgeable, friendly and answered any and all questions I had. Prices are reasonable and turnaround time was great. My laptop died and they rescued files I was afraid were lost because I was going to back everything up "one of these days." Highly recommend!

Great customer service. My computer crashed after a Microsoft upgrade and I took my computer to the shop. My computer repair took a few days to get my data backed up. The guys kept me up to date on their work and I was very happy with the cost and the it work. I felt like I was in good hands and the team was professional and patient with my barrage of questions. I have a computer repair shop in San Diego but y parents live in Albuquerque Their hard drive was failing in their laptop so I told them to take their laptop to PC Place to get it repaired. Jesse went above and beyond to get their old hard drive cloned to the new one and the price was amazing. Thanks for taking care of my parents! Customer service rocked, repairs rocked! I had a PC with a corrupt operating system. I took this computer in to them after the problem with my machine became evident. They were very respectful and friendly, and I received timely communications from them. Within 48 hours, everything was fixed. I went home and reinstalled a few items and was good to go in a short period of time. The machine runs like brand new.
Cost for their services is more than reasonable. If my computers experience other issues, I will head over to PC Place II asap. They're good people that know their stuff, including how to treat their customers. Recommended!

This was my first visit here and I was very impressed by not only exceptional customer service but also their professionalism and knowledgeable of computers. Definitely will recommend this place to my friends. I brought my old Dell 8400 Dimension desktop since it wasn't starting properly. A yellow light would come on with the fan so loud that it felt like a jet was ready for take off lol.
I did some research at home and found that it could be the motherboard or the power supply. After arriving at the store on Tuesday, August, 27, 2013, I explained the problem to the Tech who was assisting me. He immediately knew problem, however, he explained to me that since my computer was so outdated that he recommended a refurbished computer for a $100.
I was, at first, hesitant but he reassured me that it would be cost effective. I agreed. I asked if he could transfer all of my files to the new computer, and he said he would do his best to transfer them. I received a call from them the next day that it was ready for pick up. I came home and started to set it up, but realized that the refurbished computer required a VGA cable for the monitor.
I called them Friday, August 30th, morning and asked what I need to do to get my wide screen (or get the high resolution back) working. I took the computer and the monitor back to the store. He installed a video card, installed the software, and tested it to make sure it worked. Now, my refurbished computer is working well.so far and it looks like all of my files were transferred. Thanks PC Place;)

These guys were pleasant to work with and obviously cared about their work, but if there's one thing I hate it's having to go back for repairs that were not done correctly the first time. I know computers are complicated, but they shouldn't release them until they're sure the problem has been fixed. Would I go back again? Yes. But I'd want to hover over them and make sure everything was being done that I asked for.
