I can't overstate how helpful these folks are. I have to avoid most places of business due to health concerns, but they do a great job of setting up drop-off with minimal contact. My computer's been a nightmare due to a long laundry list of issues in the three years since I purchased it from a build-your-own-PC website, and I'd just about given up and decided to get a new one.

Computer Fixx however worked quickly and efficiently to fix every issue, even ones I didn't know I had or had no hope of fixing, all for a very competitive and affordable price. Some fixes they didn't or barely even charge me for. I was really nervous about trying to get the computer fixed, but it's as good as new--well, better than good as new, really--and I couldn't be happier. Very happy I trusted my computer with them and I think you will be too.

Great work perfectly performed. I had 2 significant repairs made & my laptop performs & appears new. Saved ~4 times what I would have paid to replace it. Very fast turnaround even during a bad weather week.

Bricked my computer with a docker install/windows update. OS was corrupted, couldn't repair installation or boot in safe mode. 100gb of music and recent projects i couldnt recover. Dropped my computer off and got it back a few days later 100% functional with all of my data/app libraries intact. Reinstalled Serato DJ, VS Code etc and was up and running in no time. Couldn't be more pleased. Super knowledgeable - if you have a tricky situation that needs to be fixed quick and in a hurry dont hesitate to bring your machine here.

Computer Fixx is, by far, the best business for computer repairs and or data retrieval. I have been utilizing their services since 2009. Recently, my cousin suffered a computer crash, and there was some very important data she needed retrieved. I agree with another reviewer-- Glenn needs a superman cape! He is beyond awesome when it comes to a computer issue!

I live about 50 miles out from Wilmington and there are other computer shops nearby, but none of them compare to Computer Fixx. I came here to get my laptop fixed, and was pleasantly surprised by how nice and efficient the people here are. Glenn had my laptop fixed amazingly fast, and called me letting me know what he found. The price was affordable (as I'm currently a college student and can't afford to drop a lot of money on a computer) and the service was excellent! I will definitely come here again if I ever have computer problems!

A friend recommended them to me. They did a good job of retrieving data for me from a crashed hard drive. They were also friendly and the price they charged was more than fair. I like!

Glenn, owner of Computer Fixx, is absolutely wonderful! My hard drive crashed and another company kept my computer for 3 weeks unable to recover any of my information. Computer Fixx is The Best place to go to get your computer fixed. For years I have gone to repair shop one after the other. The way I was treated it always made me feel stupid and many places acted like my presence was bothering them. Then I found Mr. Glenn and Susan. My hope was restored. There is no such thing as a stupid question. Mr. Glenn goes out of his way to make sure you are happy before you leave. He goes well beyond to teach me and answer all my questions. Computer Fixx is an excellent place to have your electronic devices repaired. I have taken two different computers there that had been infected with viruses and Glenn had them cleaned and repaired quickly and the costs were very reasonable. Not happy. So I buy a HD camera, Im having difficulty getting it to upload to my System. So I call Computer fixx and I tried to explain what I wanted but I kept getting the "We'll get it working" with a shortness. So I bring it in and get the same treatment. Meanwhile Ive yet to describe my problems and what my concerns are I tried to explain about compatibility but the same "we'll get it right" response.

They call me back the next day with the "unit working". I walk in to pick it up and I ask about the HD quality and the system compatibility. It looked good except for the quality, They assured me it was only a rendered view and final product will be HD. They assured me it was fine. Well I get home and start a project, the system continuously crashes as soon as I download anything over 5 minutes in length.

Well come to find out, this system is 1/3 what I need to do HD video. I would think a computer guy that is asked about a system compatibility would know that this was an impossibility for my system. But no, they just charged me what they wanted and my system is now FUBAR with a fried processor. VERY unhappy So yes they offered to give me back my $75. PFT piss off!

That is well short of the $275 I just spent to replace the Processor, it still is too weak to work on HD.that's what Island Computers have taken the time to explain to me., I wouldn't recommend computer Fixx for any more than virus removal.and even that would be pushing my expectations. So I guess I should say "Thanks for charging me $75 and costing me $325" Eyeroll. 3-11-15 LOL So Now You say I replaced a component in this machine. LOL I cant download a camera driver and all of a sudden Im replacing processors?

I NEVER said I replaced anything in this unit before bringing it to you. Aside from checking the RAM in the machine I only opened the case before bringing it to you. This only goes to show how you ignored my concerns when speaking with you on drop off. IE, You are confused between my Original system that I HAD someone build and the one I brought to you.

My Old one had a Radeon 9150 card and 4g ram and a 250G drive. Again This current system was a virgin to anyones hands. Yes, I thought it cooked down. After opening it up and doing some youtube searching I found it was only the paste. So I fixed it and there was no need for the chip. I did buy a processor, paste and a cooling pod. Only needed the paste. $20 fix and Im ok now.

I did learn how to clean and re-solder this week so its not a complete loss. Still no editing but WTH right? It runs. Pass that buck somewhere else bud. Im not to blame, you may not be to blame either. LOL I was actually here to remove my post and do an apologetic update. Pft Never mind. Thanks again, Enjoy my $75. Seeing you pass the buck is payment enough LOL Im just figuring out the F keys and now I can hand build a computer? Riiiight.
