I took my desktop gaming computer in for a tune-up and the service was excellent. Tom was very knowledgeable and he found some malware on my computer that was several years old, but luckily it had not caused any harm to my computer. He did a thorough check of all the computer components, did a bios update and several other tasks. I was charged for only 30 minutes, even though they could have technically charged for a full hour. I would definitely take my computer to them again as well as my laptop. Thank you Coastal Computers for being a business that is customer responsive.

Coastal Computers, in my visit here, have been the most outstanding, polite, and genuine people I've had the pleasure to meet in PC repair. At other places, I've been overcharged, had to wait almost a month for nothing to really get done, and my anomalous issues w my PC that seemed impossible to troubleshoot just wouldn't go away, no matter what I tried short of black magic.

It took *ONE* visit to these lovely people to immediately iron out the issue in a single day, plus so much extra work that I hadn't asked for and was done just in case for no extra charge. And all that for such a great price, no less. What an absolutely splendid, fantastic place. And! Over half a year later, my PC has seen no further issues and the seemingly unsolvable crashing issue has been entirely resolved. If you're having PC issues, I cannot recommend these lovely folk more. They'll take care of ya!

Nice guys there, they let me borrow a power cord to see if my laptop had a bad cord or a bad charging port, didn't charge me for it and let me bring it back after finding out my port was bad.

These guys have been in SLO for a long time. They have always done good work for me and have a fun attitude. Will tell you every option, even if it's not equitable for them and try their best to explain the situation + work with you. Seems like they just want to give the best options, and when you don't know how to fix it, i try not to get angry and instead ask a professional.

Base is 105.00 an hour, but they are honest on labor. No contracts which is nice, they really aren't expensive compared to other companies, it competative. Had a friend who went to Staples and got scared and tricked into buy additional $200.00 unnecessary gear for her computer which wasn't even broken. Took it to Coastal and they fixed it in 15 minutes, Staples wouldn't return the labor. They took back the gear, and we upgraded her computer for less @ coastal.

Longtime satisfied customer. Good business support. To address the negative comment below, my experience is that they do bill for whatever services they provide but it's at a competitive rate and I wouldn't expect anything else. I'm not a fan of service or warranty plans in general so that's never going to be an issue for me.

I purchased a business computer system 3 years ago from Coastal Computers. The installation was very professionally handled. Excellent customer service when my system picked up a nasty virus. The owner had his team work on it for a few days and they got my system up and running again. Whenever I call someone is there to help me with questions. I highly recommend Coastal Computers.

I purchased a business computer system a few years ago. The computer is great, good speed and fits the needs of my business. Dick, the owner/manager is a nice guy and treated me well. The reason for the 2 star rating is due to the "support" or lack of support I received after the purchase. When I had issues and called in a service request (I purchased a protection plan) I was always given vague answers and was even billed for services covered by their protection plan.

I had to call again and TELL THEM that I had a protection plan through THEIR COMPANY which I BOUGHT FROM THEM. Pretty poor record keeping and lack of customer retention plans if you want my opinion. I purchased a computer system locally just to avoid this very situation. Guess I should have ordered from Dell (as I was going to). I perform my own repairs now, or hire someone else to perform repairs and maintenance if beyond my abilities.
