My first visit was great and informative. However, subsequent visits yielded less. I had a lot of work done yet problems persisted. My last visit(s) I was assisted by Alec Edgerton who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Yet when problems persisted I asked what could be done, I was told I could get a refurbished unit for roughly the same amount that I invested in repairs.
I felt that the message that was sent was they were more concerned in making more money off of me instead of assisting me after so many visits and not being able to resolve my problems. Friendly front line staff. Yet management was more interested in the all mighty dollar and coming out on top. I was disappointed with the final decision.

Our monitor would turn on but then would go off and on. Wasn't sure if it was the monitor or the tower. Called up Canton Computer and talked to a sales guy and he said to bring it on in.we took both the monitor and tower in and Eli was our sales rep. He was able to diagnose pretty much right away what was wrong and it was the monitor. He was very helpful and set us up with a refurbished monitor. I don't know much about computers but I never felt uncomfortable asking questions. Eli did a super job! Will definitely use them for any future computer problems.

The prices are very reasonable. I purchased a used computer here several years ago and then a new monitor just before the pandemic. The customer service is generally very professional and friendly. Unfortunately during my last visit I had to deal with a very snarky teenager. Not sure I would go back again. No one likes to feel talked down to.

Went here to have my Chromebook repaired. The initial estimate they gave me was very reasonable. Parts for my model were unfortunately unavailable, even second hand. Upon pickup they refunded my diagnosis fee since there was nothing they could do. Super nice and professional staff. Hopefully I don't need computer repair any time soon, but if I do I'm going here first

Very knowledgable and helpful. Bought a new laptop from them as my old one needed an upgrade; had it for over 8 yrs and it was getting quite slow/a few other issues. Very reasonable prices and great service directing me to what I needed in my laptop without overselling. Overall quite satisfied. Family has used them for repairs in the past as well or for an extra monitor, etc. and have been very pleased. Canton Computers will have my future business.

*Edit to answer the comment* I brought my computer in because it was shutting down randomly. After 2 weeks, I was told it was fixed and ready to go. Brought it home to find out it won't start, won't even make it to desktop. Took it back and waited another 4 weeks until they found the problem. Staff I talked to were friendly, which is why it's a 2 star review rather than 1. I would suggest a more thorough product inspection before returning it to the customer, as just trying to turn on my pc would show it had not been repaired.

I was having issues with my computers GPU and brought it into the the Livonia store to get it fixed. Because of COVID, they said they would need 3 days to fix and it would be 89$ to diag. After 3 days I didn't hear anything. So i called and left a couple vm's and sent an email. Still no response. The following day I contacted them over Facebook and the owner msgd me back and and gave me another number to call.
I spoke to someone and they said the technician was just sitting down and starting to work on my computer and they would get back to me shortly. Two days later, still no follow up. I called and left a VM and no response so I sent another msg on FB and found the owners email and sent him a message. The owner contacted me back and told me to try the store again.
I spoke to the store and told them, it has been close to 10 days and no one has updated me on my computer and I have to pick up the computer and bring it somewhere else. When I went to the store, the manager didn't give me a straight answer if they finished the diag and gave me a wishy washy answer saying something is wrong with the motherboard.
They charged me $100 ($10 for a cleaning) and gave my computer back. I immediately went to Micro center. They charged me $35 for a diag. Within 3 hours a tech called me back, told me the problem and they fixed it. It was a problem with the GPU and nothing was wrong with the Motherboard. NEVER TRUST CANTON COMPUTERS!

I've been coming here for years whenever a computer issue comes up. The guys who work here are always honest, fast and reliable. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for computer issues. The last time I was here my laptop wouldn't finish the start up process. I took it to Canton Computers and the guy at the counter tried to start it up, but to no avail.
So I left my computer there, hoping to get it back in a few days. Later the same day I got a phone call that it was able to start up on it's own and I could come pick it up. They easily could have lied and told me they did something to fix it and charge me, but they didn't. There was no charge and this kind of customer service is why this is my go-to computer repair place!

The employees at Canton Computers really know what they are doing. I've been there a number of times with computer problems and have been highly satisfied with the service each time. While one of the big box computer services charges you before they even know what the problem is, the experts at Canton Computers will diagnose first. I've also been impressed with the speed of repairs. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Brought my laptop here to get a new keyboard and check up. When I got the call and went to receive it, I discovered they gave me a used keyboard for my laptop. The keyboard was bent and dirty and not assembled the right way, it didn't sit right. I told them I was promised a new keyboard, they said they couldn't find one and installed the used one, without telling me or asking for my opinion regarding a used bent keyboard.
So I demanded a new one, waited two weeks for it to come in, then I dropped my laptop off to get the new one installed, which btw they wanted to charge me 60$ more for. I just picked up my laptop and what do you know, the new KEYBOARD IS USED AND DIRTY! I had asked for a discount for the "new keyboard" and so I only paid 20$ more on top of the 220$ I had already paid in the beginning.
So now I've paid 280$ just to get my keyboard changed on my laptop and STILL ENDED UP WITH A DIRTY USED ONE that has damage to its buttons and frames, will include pictures! So disrespectful to try to fool a customer especially when I was willing to pay more for what I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR (a new keyboard, NOT A USED DIRTY ONE). I will never come back here and will for sure let whoever asks me know about how big of a failure this institute is. You're fooling your customer?!?
I wanted to get some hardware for a PC tower I'm building but will definitely not get it from here. I came to this place to support local businesses because I believe corporates like BestBuy and Hp and others are destroying local businesses, but the owners and management are destroying their own business and customer flow here. I wish I could do it myself, would've saved a couple hundred dollars.

This is one of the worst computer stores Ive been in for a long time. Have gone there several times in search of just normal parts, nothing out of the ordinary and they never have it. Most of the time the guy that's attempting to help me doesn't know anything. I'm beginning to think they hire payless shoe employees.

Read mixed reviews, but they are right down the street. My WiFi card/radio wasn't working on my laptop and I'm not great at navigating the BIOS start-up menu. Josh, I think, helped me straight away at the counter. We fiddled with it, ultimately opened up the back and removed/re-installed the chip. Bingo. Sounds silly, but to listen, look, fiddle, and repair my laptop at the counter for 15 minutes is excellent service to me. Did I mention there was NO CHARGE.
He also told me I still had a good laptop, i5 Pentium, though 4 years old. He suggested I just get a $25 USB WiFi adapter if we couldn't fix this one. Now, I knew most of this already, but it was nice that he didn't try to up-sell me or feed me some line about mother-board, socket-broken, blah, blah. If something starts smoking, or decides to go bad, I will return. They have my business.

What nice guys! We are not super computer literate so a wonderful resource for people like us. They helped us figure out a problem we were having with our laptop and we also bought our virus protection. Also noticed they were doing the same with other customers and didn't notice them collecting any fees for the service. Our second visit and will return I am sure.

I went there and asked them for PC2100 Non-ECC unbuffered Memory b/c I need it for a friend. They charged me $41 and gave me High Density PC3200 (for those who don't know, this ram goes for about $10 b/c it is not compatible with about 99% of computers). Then they wouldn't take it back.either rip off, or don't know what they are selling.either way I'll never go back.
