I took my 4-year old Alienware 15R4 gaming laptop into Geek Available for repair. My CPU/GPU fans were making a lot of noise and I knew the fan assembly would need a replacement. I am a good hardware guy, but while this laptop is very high end and wonderful, the inside of the laptop is not designed well for maintenance. Having replaced my SSD's previously, I decided to let a professional handle the fan assembly replacement.
The folks at Geek Available were very good, honest and up front about the repair and I walked out a few days later with my laptop fully repaired. It barely purrs louder than a kitten now. Thanks guys!

Rod is a scammer, thief and overcharges! Like many of the reviews suggest -DO NOT USE THEM! Rod Perry, the owner, came to my home to fix my computers and connect to the printer on 9/21/21. He NEVER mentioned that I needed a new router. He did fix the problem but sold me a Router with old technology for $246. When I told him, I think the router is too expensive he said, "well it will be cheaper if you pay cash." I didn't have the $345 dollars cash (+$99 for the visit) so I gave him a check.
Feeling uncomfortable about the router I looked up the model and serial number and found it was a 2017 Router worth $35 on Amazon which they don't even sell anymore. I could have also gotten a router from Spectrum which he never suggested, he just installed the router and said he was done. The next day, I tried to cancel the check, but he had already cashed it, so I went to his shop and his employee said he was never there.
I called him and texted him 2x until he finally answered. I told him I didn't want the overpriced router and I wanted to return it for a refund. He said, to look at the invoice he emailed, and I could see his policy was no returns and no refunds. Until now, I have yet to receive an invoice and he has refused to give me any kind of refund or discount. I'm also reporting him to the BBB.

These guys are great! I bought an HP PC, that was defective, and the company that HP has a warranty contract with doesn't know how to fix computers. I was told to either take it to the Geek Squad, or send it back to HP, neither of which I chose to do. I took it to Geek Available, and it was diagnosed it with a bad motherboard. I raised h**l with HP customer service to no available, but after I spoke to someone in Consumer Escalations, they bought it back after I sent them the documentation from Rod and the other place. My new Dell is working perfectly, but if I ever have any computer problems in the future, I'll take it to Geek Available.

My experience here was excellent and I would not hesitate to refer this company to colleagues or friends. I had a desktop that was moving at a snail's pace. I bought a new one and took both to them. They moved all the data and files over for what I thought was a very fair price. I also brought my smallish printer and he hooked that up for me.
I had had trouble with it when I first tried to install it. Then I had to call 3 times to fine tune a few things right after they did the work. The man I was working with (wish I could remember his name) was so patient and logged directly into my computer and solved all my issues. I just needed files moved around, etc. He was always available and happy to assist.

I was in San Diego on vacation. I had a liquid spill on my Macbook. They took it in immediately and did a chemical clean. They got my Macbook up and running in 2 days. They were very friendly, however their communication could be better. I was initially told the repair would be same-day. I had to reach out multiple times to get updates on my computer and to receive a report on the findings/diagnosis after I picked up my computer.
I also did not like that they put 3 stickers on my Mac, though they came off easily. Overall, I had a good experience and would return. Improvement could be made by being more upfront/realistic about repair times. They would also do better to provide the customer with an in-depth review of what will be done when the drop off is made, and provide diagnosis/repair paperwork to the customer upon pickup.

April/23/2021 -"Geeks Available" -is a highly-skilled PC-repair business in Clairemont-Quad atv 3052(#12 upstairs) Clairemont-Drive, -that doesn't ever 'schmoose' its customers! Some 5-yrs. ago i bought a swell 'used' 17"-screen HP-Laptop from them (-same ethical/friendly owner 'Rod'), -in which they retrofitted a trouble-free SolidState-hard'drive.
Then yesterday-morning while the same PC-laptop was running fine, -all of a sudden it "What'th". 'Locked-up' and would not reboot via standard keyboard-input (-pressing all 3-keys simultaneously). "Ctrl., Alt., Delete", -then after necessarily forcing shut-down via the on/off-button, -it would not recover sufficiently to activate the display-screen (-even tried removing the battery and waiting a minute before reinstalling, -still no screen activity). Accordingly, i saw the 'Geek-Available' phone-label beneath the machine, -"Rod' picked-up and said to bring it in for him to analyze! Leaving it at Rod's GA-shoppe knowing it was in 'good hands'; --he called me back a couple hours later informing me the problem was a 'dead'-ROM(read only memory)-module, -and that it's been replaced, and is now working perfectly!
This degree of 'repair-savvy' is highly-technical, --and places this PC/repair-shop as one of 'USA's Best'! Their courteous personnel, & prompt "same-day repair" -bill of $91.oo was very reasonable; --highly recommended, call'em: (619) 794-4774. ~Bob Vonheck zip-92123

Rod was not only highly knowledgeable he was on time, courteous and efficient. Something went wrong with one of the WiFi extenders a week after the install. I text rod and he was at my house the next day replacing it. I happy to give Rod 5 stars and enthusiastically recommend him for all of your I.T. Needs

I've been experiencing problems with my Dell desktop (Windows 10) for several months; slow, corrupt recycle bin, dropping Wi-Fi, etc. Rod and Dino installed a new SSD and internal Wi-Fi receiver. Transferred all my data and features from the old HD. The computer is faster than when I bought it and performs perfectly! I saved several hundreds of dollars by repairing my computer and not buying a new one. I highly recommend this shop for all your computer repairs.

I had a great experience with Geek Available recently. My computer is like new it's running so well. I had to get a total upgrade and this team of geeks hooked it up :) Thanks Rod & Tim! There was a yucky virus cleaned off, an extra terabyte of space added, a Windows 10 upgrade and a new screen provided too. I needed some major help for sure.
I was treated well with clear communication about what was wrong and what was needed, and about the timing to get it all done. They were patient with my non-techy-ness. They tried to get it all done fast (which I loved, as my work revolves around this machine.) Rod, the owner quoted me fair and reasonable pricing which I also appreciated. And both Rod and Tim were very nice and lovely to work with. When your computer needs help make sure and call Geek Available, you will be glad you did!

The owner operates the shop on Clairemont Drive under a variety of brand related names but it's actually one operation with the same staff. I had a disk drive problem with a RAID that Microsoft Support failed to recognize even when I gave them a clue but Geek Available found the issue quickly and replaced both drives with higher capacity ones at a fair price and very quickly.
I had some subsequent issues but I do not beleive they were their fault (a Microsoft rep had previously screwed up something on my machine) and that was addressed with no extra charge. One of the very good things about Geek Available is that the owner, Rod, was outstanding in getting back to me quickly on each contact I had. When I first encounted an issue, I sent in a contact form on their website at 10:30 pm and got a response back from Rod almost right away, saying to contact him the next morning to address how to proceed.
I have no idea what the circumstances were with the bad reviews that are posted but the impression I have is that they only want satisfied customers. They only charge an evaluation fee if you don't wind up using their services and if you do, the cost for the evaluation time is simply part of the repair charge.

Really bad experience, I came here because the "same day repair" and it wasn't. I had to go next daywithout receiving a call because I needed my computer and the guy, I could tell he didn't look at it, And he gave me a quick explanation and told me nothing was wrong with it and even charge me the "EVALUATION" fee. NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Supposedly my hard drive was feeling according to the manager he charge me $49 minus the $200 quote which I think is completely unreasonable because I took it to another, Computer repair shop total price with antivirus spyware $ 75 bucks total out the door! I don't recommend this place and I'll never come back!

Look no further, Rod is the bomb! My computer hard drive crashed and thought I'd loose everything. but no. brought my computer in and they were able to recover everything! It was time for a new computer so I was able to transfer all the valuable information I have saved for years thanks to their amazing expertise! I highly recommend them for anyone who needs any type of computer help! Thank you Rod and Tim!

Geek Available fixed my laptop fine but they also placed a bunch of advertisement stickers all over it. Advertisements for their shop. They put one on my keyboard and two more on the bottom. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the two on the bottom until weeks later and I can't get them off. So now I've got sticky gunk all over the bottom of my nice computer. I'm pretty upset about it, hence the bad review. It's like taking your car into a repair shop and finding that yes, they fixed it but they also put bumper stickers advertising their company all over your car without your permission. What jerks.

Was visiting San Diego and my laptop died. Their store was not too far from where I was staying. They checked it out, found motherboard was faulty. Contacted me with price and fixed it. Shipped it back to LA in under a week. They kept me fully informed by phone of progress etc. Would recommend them.

I've been here twice to fix my slightly-outdated but cherished gaming laptop and they were very helpful and reasonably affordable. They didn't try to hustle me like other places. Both times I've been here they diagnosed the problem within about one business day and got back to me with an explanation and an estimate.

The first time you walk in Geek Available front desk, Chris treat you with respect and courtesy. I visit other places who are authorized by APPLE but NO ONE like Geek Available Again beginning with costumer service their approach to their clients is TOP OF THE LINE. Their prices wont bleed you (like many others) and their promptitude with their services. I wish we can have more people like GeekAvailable in San Diego.(we need no bandits with a white flag).Thank you for everything GeekAvailable

Top notch on every level! It's amazing to not be told, that my "vintage" macbook pro cannot be repaired as it's too old and parts are no longer available. Even more amazing is to have it back in under a day, working perfectly, and for a very affordable price! Courteous, responsible, and keeping their word every time, I can truly state that you won't ever go wrong placing your trust in them.
