We contacted the Visiting Geeks for an unresponsive laptop. Nancy called back the next day to schedule a drop off appt. Brought the laptop in the next day at 11AM and received a call that it was done at 2:30PM the same day. They found a dead hard drive and replaced it with a SSHD and installed Windows 10, as we lost all software. Everything that was done was fully explained in laymans terms. I thought some malware had been downloaded into my tower. Brought the computer into the geeks and they thoroughly checked it out. They also increased the RAM from 4 to 16. It is operating much faster now.

Even though it was 2 minutes before closing I was invited to go to their office. They opened my laptop and retrieved my hard drive and helped me chose a new computer that would meet the system requirements I needed. Every step taken was explained to me ahead of time and the cost was very reasonable. Having been a client of Visiting Geeks for more than 10 years, we are clearly fans of the business. Management/ownership has changed during our tenure, but quality of service has not. The company offers home/office service visits, but we frequently drop off our towers/laptops for maintenance. Turnaround is very speedy. Visiting Geeks delivers sage advice on upgrades (when needed) and does solid repair/maintenance what's more, they can do the research/shopping for you and will tailor a system appropriate for your personal needs/use. Visiting Geeks is happy to recycle (for you) older/disabled systems so you don't have to wait/take to your town's 'computer/monitor' recycling day, and even refurbishes newer systems for resale (perfect and less expensive solution for school aged kids or the casual computer user not requiring the latest and greatest in technology).

Travel to Merrimac, MA (should you live a distance away like we do) should be figured into overall repair costs, but we are very satisfied with the service, advice and support we get from Visiting Geeks. When/if something goes wrong (which frequently happens with computers/technology), Visiting Geeks fix it to the best of their ability. They offer sage advice on solutions, upgrades, software, etc. We're happy with the service the company has delivered and would absolutely recommend them.
